I’m a member of a couple of writing clubs, including Sisters in Crime, a mystery/thriller writers’ group. The Northern California Chapter of the club recently asked me to write an article for The Stiletta Newsletter about how I went from writing a memoir to suspense, my current project. You can find the article on page fourteen at this link:

In other news, I have an official author photo! I’ll confess that I have never enjoyed having my picture taken. I always seem to end up either with that deer-in-the-headlights look or my eyes closed. In the past, I just used a candid shot that a friend took and cropped out the additional people. Not very professional. But now I have a professional photo taken by my expert photographer, who was in town last month. She also happens to be my sister and is very talented. Take a look:

Many thanks to Julie for a painless process and making me look better!

  1. Love the photo! I’m so glad to hear that you’re forging ahead with your mystery thriller. From what I’ve read so far, you’ve got a great storyline going and I can’t wait to hear what happens to Kendall and that creepy guy Fisher. BTW, we added two more writers to our critique group but we’d love to have you back whenever you feel ready.

    1. Ginny, thanks so much for the kind words and your feedback about my book in progress. I’m glad to hear you got two more writers in the group! I’ll let you know when I’m ready to rejoin.
