Congratulations on starting your copywriting business! You picked the right word, daunting. And exciting, but right now I’m mostly in the daunting category. I’m trying to educate myself as much as I can by reading and taking courses so I’ll feel confident when I start marketing. Where are you in the process?

I’ve made a website, http://www.rjhcopy.com, have also done a fair bit of reading and research, but I feel like it’s definitely something that I will improve at as I go along and get feedback from people. How about yourself?

Nice website, very creative! I have been working on my copywriting/editing website, https://runawaypublishing.com/ but it’s still a work in progress. All of the important information is there, I just need to work on refining it, improving graphics, etc. Building websites is not my favorite thing…

Ruth, thanks so much for your comment and kind words! Most journeys start with baby steps–I know mine did–but remember that slow and steady wins the race. What kind of freelance business are you starting? I’m glad you found a site that you like; I will check it out. I’ve found that connecting with others on similar journeys has really helped me with everything from inspiration and emotional support to business referrals. Networking really helps.
