In February I had the good fortune to attend the 2017 San Francisco Writers Conference, which was held at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, shown in the photo. This was an incredible experience, and attending it inspired me to finally finish my book.

This conference is an amazing event for writers, with a schedule jam-packed with educational presentations and entertaining speakers. I participated in the Speed Dating with Agents, and got to pitch my book to eight agents. Five of them invited me to submit my proposal and/or part of my manuscript, so it was well worth it.

The only frustrating thing was that there were so many interesting speakers and topics, I found that I wanted to be in three places at once. I had to make some difficult decisions. I learned so much, and met some really interesting people, but four days later, my brain was full! Watch for more blog posts about what I learned during the conference.
